Biography
Although he first picked up the sticks at age 3 it was during his teenage years where Brett’s passion for drumming really took hold.
Originally from Sydney, he cut his teeth gigging in the rock and metal scene during the 90’s gigging extensively for 10+ years in many original and cover bands across a range of styles.
With 20+ years of playing experience during his career, Brett received tuition from some of Australia’s best educators and clinicians including Pete Drummond, Tubby Wadsworth, Milan Troha, and Robi Parolin.
As a teacher, Brett is calm, patient, and understanding of all students drumming goals. Including yours. His methodical, disciplined teaching approach and ability to explain new concepts will have you achieving your drumming goals and further fuelling your passion for this amazing instrument, the drums.
Brett’s complete and balanced teaching method is goal-focused that targets your weaknesses and will have you supercharge your drumming abilities so that you progress fast. Whether it be learning to play drums for the first time, mastering that song you have always wanted to play or improving your drumming by introducing new rudimental concepts, Brett is here to help.

- It provides a relaxed and fun environment for all ages and levels.
- Learn on a real drum kit so you learn the touch and nuance of a real acoustic drum kit.
What I teach
- I teach from the ground up, ensuring the student has a solid basis to work from.
- I have a large, open practice space with two drum kits to offer drum lessons in Laverton, Melbourne
- As a member of the Total Drummer drum teaching program, I have access to huge libraries of teaching material such as the main syllabus, famous song charts, drumless play along tracks, and everything else needed to deliver the best drum lessons possible.
